What is GSRP?
The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded preschool program for eligible 4-year-olds. At Plymouth Academic Gardens, our GSRP classroom provides children with a safe, engaging, and hands-on learning environment where they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally before entering kindergarten.
Through play-based learning and meaningful experiences, children develop confidence, independence, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning that lasts well beyond preschool.

A Smooth Transition!
Families who begin in our preschool program have the opportunity to continue into our GSRP classroom in the same familiar school environment. Becoming comfortable with the building, teachers, daily routines, and learning style early on can help children feel more confident as they move into the next stage of preschool.
Do I Qualify?
Very simple.
Children who turn four years old by September 1 may qualify for the Great Start Readiness Program.
Children turning four between September 2 and December 1 may also qualify depending on program availability and eligibility.
